Local People is a
network of 47 community-based websites created by Northcliffe Media who are one
of the UK's leading local multimedia and publishing companies.
The community websites have been created for local people to find and connect with people who share their
interests, find jobs and property, discover regional businesses and view local
news stories.
To help raise awareness of this new local phenomenon, Brandmovers created 12
Facebook quizzes to test residents on their local knowledge of events, history,
landmarks, well known people and current issues.
We’ve had a positive response in relation to the quiz and it’s provided a
fantastic viral effect as a great deal of people’s Facebook friends are based
in the same area.
As the Local People website is continually expanding we will be creating more
quizzes in the near future.
