In support of their sponsorship of Super Bowl XLVIII, Papa Johns looked to Brandmovers to develop a digital promotion designed to engage football fans and get their opinion at the same time – which pizza would be named America’s Most Valuable Pizza?
How it Works
The mechanic for the promotion was simple – visitors to the site provided their email, and vote for their favourite in three categories (Most Valuable Pizza, One to Watch and Special Teams). After voting, fans would receive a code for a free 2-Liter Pepsi product with their next purchase of $10 or more at papajohns.com.
In addition, the site contained shareable, football-themed social content, including meme messages from key players in the game, and “football cards” representing some of the most valuable products on the Papa John’s menu.
Nearly a million votes, driving over 100,000 online orders.
